From Across the Seas to the Heart of Kerala

After spending 18 years abroad as an NRI, I witnessed firsthand how deeply people living outside India cherish and worry about their homeland. Even while I lived thousands of miles away, the news of rising food adulteration in Kerala struck a personal chord.

Concerned about the health and wellbeing of the people back home, I made a promise to myself: when I return, I will create something meaningful — something pure.

And so, when I finally returned to my roots in Thrissur, Kerala, I started Ailam's — not just a brand, but a mission to revive the values of trust, purity, and neighbourly love through food.

Why Ailam's ?

In Malayalam, Ailam means neighbourhood — a tribute to the good old days when life was simpler, people lived without fences, and food was shared between homes.

Ailam brings back the taste of those times, the taste of love from the neighbourhood, where meals were made with care, and ingredients were as pure as the intentions behind them.

Our Mission - Purity on Every Plate

Ailam was born to tackle the problem of adulterated cooking oils and gingelly oil, which are among the most commonly used and misused in Kerala kitchens. Our founder chose to begin there — manufacturing pure, in-house, chemical-free oils as the foundation for everything that followed.
